Aerospace Engineering
600 Character Write-up
Fascinated by the mechanics behind propulsion systems, I built a working ionic thruster inspired by NASA's ion propulsion technology. Using high voltage to ionise air, I managed to produce silent thrust with no moving parts. This project deepened my understanding of propulsion systems, fueling my passion for aerospace engineering. It highlighted the potential of how alternative propulsion can enhance aircraft performance. Aligned with TP's motto of Creating Tomorrow, I aim to redefine aviation by applying what I will learn in aircraft propulsion systems to pioneer safer, more efficient flight.

As CCA Vice-Chairman and Class Chairman in 2024, I led initiatives such as planning VIA projects on upkeeping school venues, which developed my project planning and team coordination skills. I was selected for the Overseas Learning Journey to Vietnam in 2024, where I led teams to teach local students traditional Singaporean games, developing my leadership and cross-cultural communication skills. Representing my school in the Shell Nxplorers Competition 2024, I designed a self-sustaining irrigation system to address real-world problems, challenging me to think critically and propose sustainable solutions. I directed the live broadcast for my school's Awards Day in 2024, demanding integrity, accountability, and composure to ensure everything ran smoothly under pressure. Representing my school in the NDP Parade 2023 taught me discipline, unity, and the importance of teamwork. These experiences shaped my values and will guide me in creating innovative, meaningful solutions in the industry.
